Serving Western Canada
Canadian Asset Integrity Services Inc. is an Edmonton-based NDT and pressure equipment inspection company serving oil sands, SAGD, and industrial clients across western Canada. Founded on a commitment to technical excellence and regulatory compliance, we deliver inspection, assessment, and integrity management services that help owner-operators maintain safe, reliable, and code-compliant pressure equipment.
With approximately 10 experienced personnel and multi-jurisdictional registrations spanning Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, we provide comprehensive pressure equipment integrity services to oil sands operators, SAGD facilities, and industrial clients across western Canada.
Our CGSB-certified technicians hold credentials in ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), and radiographic testing (RT), complemented by advanced phased array UT (PAUT), time-of-flight diffraction (ToFD), and computed/digital radiographic testing (CR/DRT) capabilities for complex corrosion and crack characterization.
-
Regulatory Expertise
Deep familiarity with ABSA requirements, AB-515a obligations, and the Alberta pressure equipment regulatory framework under the Safety Codes Act.
-
Technical Depth
API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 fitness-for-service capability, risk-based inspection program development, and advanced UT techniques including PAUT with OmniScan instrumentation.

Integrated Repair Path
Unlike standalone inspection firms, our sister CWB W47.1 welding company provides qualified repair execution — a single accountable partner from assessment to ABSA sign-off.
Active registrations with the Alberta Boilers Safety Association, Technical Standards and Safety Authority Saskatchewan (TSASK), and Technical Safety BC enabling seamless cross-provincial project execution.
Canadian General Standards Board certification across all NDT methods — ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual testing (VT) — maintained in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712 (ISO 9712 equivalent) examination and qualification standards. Advanced techniques including PAUT, ToFD, and CR/DRT are deployed by qualified personnel under method certification.
Our welding inspectors hold Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification at Levels 1, 2, and 3 — qualified to inspect, evaluate, and accept or reject welds on structural and pressure equipment fabrications in accordance with applicable Canadian and ASME welding codes. Level 3 inspectors provide senior oversight, procedure review, and welder qualification authority on ABSA-regulated pressure equipment repair and alteration projects.
Our inspectors hold American Petroleum Institute certification across five inspection disciplines — pressure vessel inspection (API 510), aboveground storage tank inspection (API 653), refractory personnel certification (API 936), and pipeline inspection (API 1169). Piping inspectors are qualified under API 570 for in-service inspection of process, utility, and high-energy piping systems. These credentials underpin our fitness-for-service assessments, RBI programs, and ABSA-regulated inspection reporting across oil sands, SAGD, and industrial facilities.
Our affiliated welding company holds CWB W47.1 (fusion welding of steel) certification with a full Welding Quality Control Program (WQCP). This integrated structure enables seamless inspection-to-repair workflows on ABSA-regulated pressure equipment — eliminating contractor coordination delays and maintaining a single chain of documentation through to final ABSA acceptance.
